By accessing and using Hire Remote, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.
2. Service Description
Hire Remote is a job board that connects remote employers with candidates worldwide. We provide a platform for posting job listings and managing job applications.
3. User Accounts
For Employers
- Must provide accurate company information
- Are responsible for all content posted on their behalf
- Must comply with all applicable employment and discrimination laws
- Cannot use the service to post illegal, discriminatory, or fraudulent jobs
For Candidates
- Must provide accurate personal and professional information
- Are responsible for the content of their applications
- May not submit fraudulent applications or impersonate others
4. Pricing and Payments
Job Posting Fees
- Standard Job Posting: £19.99 (30 days listing)
- Featured Job Posting: £199.99 (30 days + featured placement)
Payment Processor: Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Refunds: Refunds are available for the first 24 hours after purchase.
Currency: All prices are in GBP (£).
5. Prohibited Content
You may not post jobs or content that:
- Discriminates on basis of race, sex, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or gender
- Promotes illegal activities, scams, or pyramid schemes
- Violates intellectual property rights
- Contains false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Requests upfront payment from candidates
- Offers "work from home" scams or MLM schemes
We reserve the right to remove any prohibited content and terminate accounts without notice or refund.
6. Job Application Process
Employer Responsibilities
- Review applications in good faith
- Respond to candidates within reasonable timeframes
- Maintain confidentiality of candidate data
- Comply with GDPR and data protection laws
Candidate Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and truthful information
- Respect employer confidentiality regarding company information
- Withdraw applications if no longer interested
7. Refund Policy
24-Hour Refund Window
You may request a full refund within 24 hours of posting your job listing, provided the job has not received any applications.
Non-Refundable Situations
- After 24 hours from purchase
- If the job has received applications
- If the job listing has been removed for violating our terms
- Featured upgrade purchases (after job is live)

8. Account Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts at our discretion if:
- You violate these Terms of Service
- You engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- You post prohibited content (see Section 5)
- You fail to pay for services
- You spam or harass other users
Terminated accounts will not be entitled to refunds, and all data may be permanently deleted.
9. Limitation of Liability
Disclaimer: Hire Remote is a platform connecting employers and candidates. We do not guarantee:
- That employers will hire candidates
- That jobs posted are legitimate or suitable
- The accuracy of candidate information
- The quality or outcomes of any job application
Liability Limit: Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding any claim.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality on Hire Remote are owned by us or our licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.
You retain ownership of content you post but grant us a license to use, display, and distribute it as necessary to operate the service.
11. Data Protection
We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with GDPR and our Privacy Policy.
- We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures
- Data is retained only as long as necessary for business purposes
- You have the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data
- We use industry-standard encryption for sensitive data
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or website notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
