Responsibilities

Define and evangelize the multi-product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Dropbox Core (FSS), ensuring users can intuitively discover, adopt, and benefit from all Dropbox products within a unified platform experienceArchitect the system, navigation, and cross-product interfaces that power seamless interaction across the Dropbox ecosystem, enabling scalable expansion and new product integrationCollaborate deeply with senior leadership (CEO, CTO, CMO, GM Core) to align product direction with company strategy, customer needs, and long-term business goalsLeverage data, user insights, and research to identify friction points, inform strategic prioritization, and drive meaningful improvements in activation, engagement, and multi-product retentionLead cross-functional workstreams with Engineering, Design, and Research to deliver high-quality, end-to-end product experiences that support user growth and cross-product adoptionOperate as a senior IC to start, driving clarity, alignment, and execution in a highly ambiguous, foundational spaceEstablish the operating model, product principles, and org structure required to scale a dedicated multi-product team; recruit and lead this team over timeChampion strong product craft and a customer-first mindset to ensure Dropbox delivers cohesive, intuitive, and high-value multi-product experiencesServe as a strategic thought partner to Core leadership, influencing critical product decisions and representing multi-product strategy across the company

Requirements

12+ years of product management experience, with substantial time operating at Principal or equivalent senior-IC level in complex product environmentsProven track record of creating and scaling multi-product or multi-surface ecosystems, with deep expertise in designing cohesive customer experiences across interconnected productsStrong systems-thinking skills with the ability to architect platform-wide experiences and frameworksDemonstrated success driving cross-functional alignment at the executive level and influencing C-level stakeholdersHighly analytical and data-informed, with experience translating insights into strategic product decisionsExceptional communication skills, with the ability to crisply articulate product vision, tradeoffs, and priorities across diverse audiencesExperience operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments and driving clarity amid ambiguityStrong customer empathy and a deep understanding of user behavior, workflows, and product design principlesPrior experience building and scaling product teams is a plus, though the role begins as an IC

Compensation

US Zone 1$317,100—$428,900 USDUS Zone 2$285,300—$386,100 USDUS Zone 3$253,600—$343,200 USD

The range(s) listed above is the expected annual salary/OTE (On-Target Earnings) for this role, subject to change. Please note, OTE are for sales roles only. Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation.  We target most new hire offers between the minimum up to the middle of the range. Dropbox uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current US Zone locations are as follows:

  • US Zone 1: San Francisco metro, New York City metro, or Seattle metro

  • US Zone 2: California (outside SF metro), Colorado, Connecticut (outside NYC metro), Delaware, Illinois (Chicago metro), Indiana (Chicago metro), Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan (Chicago metro), New Hampshire, New Jersey (outside NYC metro), New York (outside NYC metro), Oregon, Pennsylvania (D.C. metro), Pennsylvania (outside NYC or DC metro), Texas (Austin metro) Virginia (DC metro), Washington (outside Seattle metro), Washington DC metro, West Virginia (DC metro), Wisconsin (Chicago metro)

  • US Zone 3: All other US locations
