About the Role

You'll join our small, focused Finance analytics team of three within Analytics & Insights. We work asynchronously across regions, using shared dashboards and documentation to keep work transparent and collaborative. We focus on improving data quality, strengthening financial and operational reporting, and enabling consistent, data-informed decisions as GitLab grows.How GitLab will support you

Requirements

Proficiency in SQL and in using business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Tableau to build and maintain dashboards and reports. Background in developing, validating, and maintaining analytics datasets, dashboards, and recurring reporting with strong attention to data quality and accuracy. Ability to translate complex, ambiguous data into clear, structured insights that connect business objectives, key performance indicators, and actionable recommendations. Skill in identifying data gaps, defining clear requirements, and partnering with data and product teams to improve data capture and underlying data structures. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, including presenting findings to non-technical audiences and collaborating with partners in Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Product. Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and asynchronous environment, managing multiple priorities and driving work independently. Openness to candidates with diverse backgrounds and transferable skills who can demonstrate strong analytical thinking, business acumen, and a data-informed approach to decision-making.
