πΌ Role: Engineering Manager (BootStack Team)
We are hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the BootStack team β the group that designs, builds, and operates modern distributed systems for our enterprise customers.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technologist passionate about Linux, Cloud, and open source to build a career with Canonical and work with some of the most talented engineers in the industry.
As a Cloud Engineering Manager, youβll lead engineers responsible for the day-to-day managed service operations of customer environments, including:
- Customer service management
- Managed services operations
- Product improvement engineering
Youβll work closely with customers, product engineering, and operations teams to ensure excellence, reliability, and continuous improvement.
π Location: This is a globally remote role.
π§ Key Responsibilities
- π©βπ» Manage and grow a distributed engineering team to optimize quality and delivery velocity
- π Identify and measure team health indicators to maintain high morale and performance
- βοΈ Implement disciplined engineering and operations processes across projects
- π€ Represent the BootStack team to stakeholders, customers, and internal teams
- π― Ensure team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables
- π Meet and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with customer deployments worldwide
- π Deliver high-quality managed services consistently and on schedule
